Founder and Executive Director

Deb Ellinger is the founder and Executive Director of Elli’s House, street outreach and shelter for women who are homeless, addicted and sex trafficked on the streets of Detroit. Deb is an inspiring and gifted speaker, leading people to get involved in the fight against sex trafficking. She helps victims transform their lives from the street to stability and safety by offering support with housing, life skills, medical and mental health treatment. Deb is a graduate of Ferris State University with a Degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduation, she began her career as a police officer and worked in crimes against children, DARE program, and later worked as a community organizer with children programs through a non-profit in the city of Detroit. Deb is based in the Detroit area and proud mom of 4 kids and a wife to Jake.
